Christer's Blog

I decided that I will start blogging a little. I will try to post something every week about my tournaments, practices and the everyday life of an aspiring professional golfer. I Hope that you all will like it, and feel free to post comments or questions.

Back in Norway

Let me start of with saying i'm sorry the site hasn't been updated lately. As you know I have been in Spain for two months, and the lack of a good Internet connection where i lived made it difficult. However, i will be better at keeping the site up to date for the rest of the season.

I have spent the last months in Spain practicing and playing tournaments. Unfortunately, I have not been playing good. The results in tournaments have been really bad, and it has been very frustrating. The harder I tried, the poorer i played. It became a negative cycle. I think it first started with my putting. I putted really bad, which made it impossible to score. This bled back to the rest of my game, and frustration took over. I did learn a lot from it though, and i guess it's all part of the learning curve.

Even though the good results did not come in tournaments, I really felt my game improving during practice the last month. So regardless, I feel I am heading for a good season in the Nordic League (Nordea Tour and Ecco Tour).

My schedule is just about ready now, and I will kick it off the 8th of May with a Mini Tour in Sweden, before I head directly down to play an Ecco Tour in Denmark on the 11th of May.

I'm excited to start the season soon, and looking forward to posting some good results.

2010

Happy new year everyone!

It has been a while since a posted something now, but now I have some news. I have just booked tickets to spain, and will leave monday the 25th of January for Murcia in Spain, with Stian Hansen and Christian Aronsen. I will kickoff the season with the first tournament of the year on February 2nd. I will post more information about this event and the rest of the schedule soon. Anyways, I will be staying in Spain for two months, with tournaments almost every week, and I am really looking forward to it.

Yesterday, I got my new putter. A Scotty Cameron, California Delmar. It lokks good and feels amazing. Hopefully it will help me gain a couple of strokes on the field on the greens:) I also had a session with my Coach, Martin Johannisson, and I feel we have gotten a long way with both my golf swing and putting stroke. It is not exactly where we would like it to be yet, but it's getting close.

Talk to you soon!

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone!

Christmas is here, and it's time for a brake from golf to enjoy some time with family and skiing in the mountains. However, I am really looking forward to get started with the 2010 season in the beginning of January, and tournaments in Spain in February. Hopefully there will be a lot of good results:)

Happy holidays everyone! Take care, and I'll talk to you all again in 2010.

First Entry

I am new to the whole blogging thing, but I'll do my best.

I am in my off-season period right now trying to map out the 2010 season. It will be my first full season as a professional golfer, and I am really excited. I understand more and more every day about what it takes to make it in this game. It is not only practicing; but finding funds, budgeting, planning, traveling, and so forth. I am lucky to have a couple of key people helping me out with a lot of this, so I would like to thank Martin Johannisson, Terje Flesjø and Helge Brenden.

Even though it is off-season right now, I am still practicing a couple of hours a day (for the most part at Fornebu, Oslo Norway). For the most part I am working on key fundamentals that will help me perform well when the season starts in February.

Talk to you all soon, or maybe I will see you prepping your game for the summer at Fornebu.
